Recirculating Shower Installation: Two-Phase Approach
Phase 1: Renovation and Initial Installation
Demolition:
Remove existing bathroom fixtures and tiles (jacuzzi tub, wall/floor tiles, vanity, sinks, toilets)
New Installations:
· Construct shower alcove and install shower receptor
· Install piping and shower valve
· Tile shower walls, bathroom floor, and vanity backsplash (if applicable)
· Drywall remaining walls
· Install new vanity, sinks, faucet and toilet
Shower Components:
· Shower column, showerhead, handshower, and hose (relocated to south wall)
· Atmospheric vacuum breaker (capped)
· Digital shower control
· Recirculating shower controller
· Two-port digital thermostatic valve
· Power supplies for controller and valve
· Floor receptor
Note: Kohler engineering team will be present to supervise shower installation.
Phase 2: Recirculating Control Box and Plumbing Rerouting
Phase 2 will consist of adding the recirculating shower control box and rerouting plumbing. Plumbing will need to be rerouted to incorporate a recirculating shower control box and vacuum breaker. Kohler engineering team will again be present to oversee the process.
