A message from the organizers of IAQVEC 2026!
Dear USGBC–California Members,
We’re excited to share that the 12th International Conference on Indoor Air Quality, Ventilation, and Energy Conservation in Buildings (IAQVEC 2026) will take place at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles from May 18–22, 2026.
This prestigious international event is endorsed by the California Energy Commission (CEC), ASHRAE, IBPSA, and USGBC–California, and is expected to draw numerous leaders in architecture, engineering, building science, and environmental policy.
IAQVEC 2026 will focus on:
- Sustainable building design and decarbonization
- Energy conservation and system innovation
- Indoor air quality (IAQ) and indoor environmental quality (IEQ)
- Generative AI for architectural design and building system controls
- Occupant wellbeing and smart environmental control
We are currently inviting:
- Abstract submissions – due August 29, 2025
- Panel & thematic session proposals – due December 15, 2025
We especially welcome contributions that bridge research and practice, highlight California’s leadership, and explore the intersection of technology, policy, and human-centered design.
