GPRO Construction Management - 2 Day Virtual Training + Exam

Low-carbon, energy-efficient construction will play a critical role in meeting increasingly stringent local and national building performance goals. These projects will require an understanding of new technologies, processes, and improved coordination across disciplines.

GPRO Construction Management provides practitioners with sustainability best practices and actionable strategies for every phase of construction, as well as how to avoid common mistakes. This course is ideal for a range of construction professionals, including Construction Managers, General Contractors, Owner's Representatives, Project Managers, Site Superintendents, Estimators, Students, and others interested in entering the building and construction industry.

Participants take a two-day virtual training and then finish GPRO CM by completing three online electives that are most relevant to their work. Taught by highly knowledgeable industry professionals, participants will leave the course with practical steps to direct and manage successful, sustainable, and cost-effective projects.

Learning Objectives:

• Explain the key coordination issues and documentation requirements that are unique to high-performance construction at each stage of a project.
• Describe the responsibilities of the CM and project team to ensure building performance.
• Implement sustainable construction processes and communicate required information to subcontractors and trades.
• Coordinate testing, inspection, and commissioning activities to ensure intended performance.

Additional Details:

Registration includes a course e-book and an online exam. Students who pass the exam with an 80% or higher become GPRO Construction Management Certificate holders.

Please Note: This is a 2-day virtual training on 10/21/25 and 10/22/25 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm each day. Full attendance is required to be eligible for the exam. The sessions will not be recorded.

GPRO Construction Management qualifies for 7 CEUs for PDH, AIA (LU/HSW hours), and GBCI. Three required electives will vary in length (30-60 minutes each) and range in credits.

Meet the Presenter

Stacy Sinclair, EdD, ENV SP

Stacy is the Los Angeles Region Environmental Project Manager for Flatiron West, supporting environmental compliance in construction and corporate sustainability. She is a Construction General Permit Trainer of Record and a member of the CGP training team, working on implementation of the newly adopted Permit.

She is also the owner of EdExcellence Consulting, Inc., providing a range of services related to training, assessment, and development of gamified learning experiences. Stacy created and curated USGBC-CA’s blog series. She is co-author of Designing Healthy Communities with Dr. Dick Jackson and Building Resilience LA – A Primer for Facilities with Heather Rosenberg. She has represented USGBC-CA as an Aspen Institute Fellow and her research on microplastics in the sand has been used by the EPA to update their testing methodology.

When not working, she is often found racing and cruising sailboats.
