Join us for the pilot training to rebuild greener after the LA wildfires. Learn best practices for resilient, sustainable construction.

In the LA Wildfires of January 2025, we experienced one of the worst climate disasters of our time at a moment when we are seeing these types of wind and drought-driven wildfire incidents increase in size and scale. We will rebuild, and we will move forward, yet the how and the message we send to those who are watching around the world, fearing the next disaster will be in their backyard, is incredibly important. This training is designed to provide direct insight into our Rebuilding Guide and how to implement best practices in sustainable rebuilding.USGBC-CA, with technical support from Arup and our Wildfire Defense Advisory Committee, developed the Wildfire Rebuilding Guide to support those affected by the recent fires in the Los Angeles area. This group of experts in wildfire recovery, sustainable building and community resilience has identified key early decisions homeowners and building professionals will face and provide guidance to help them make the best decisions on their pathway to rebuilding. If you are a homeowner, business owner, contractor, architect, urban planner, landscape architect, or resident of a fire-affected community looking to rebuild a resilient and sustainable home or a professional looking to deepen your understanding and skillset in sustainable design and building, this certificate is for you! This training offers guidance, resources, best practices, materials and other tools designed to support contractors, construction professionals, and landscapers during the post-climate disaster rebuilding process. The goal is to increase the capacity and knowledge around resilient and green building principles and to underscore best practices in high-road contracting. Our goal is to work together with partners across our region to provide deep resources and support towards a greener and more resilient future.insight
