Learn to set up with Measurabl, sync with ENERGY STAR, improve data quality, and prep building data for benchmarking compliance.
In this training, building owners, operators, and consultants will learn how to set up and easily populate data into a free Measurabl account. Once your data is populated, you’ll be able to use the free tool’s functionality to check and improve the quality of your data, so it’s ready for submission and complies with local and state benchmarking ordinances.
We will walk you through setting up a free account and quickly establishing a bidirectional sync with ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager® (as well as highlighting upload options for those not using Portfolio Manager). Then you’ll learn how the Measurabl tool’s additional layer of Data Quality Control (detecting gaps and outliers) can aid in further improving your data, as well as how its regulatory visibility function quickly identifies which of your buildings are subject to specific local and state ordinances. Finally, we’ll briefly review what comes next for compliance and share information on future training opportunities.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Navigate Measurabl's Free Solution: Successfully create and configure a free Measurabl account through the California Building Performance Hub.
- Enter Data into Your New Account: Execute a seamless data sync between ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager® and Measurabl to eliminate manual entry errors, and understand alternative methods for those not using Portfolio Manager.
- Ensure Data Quality: Identify and resolve common data discrepancies to ensure "audit-ready" reporting for California state and local mandates.
- Assess Regulatory Exposure: Utilize the platform to visualize portfolio exposure to specific benchmarking and Building Performance Standard (BPS) requirements across California and other jurisdictions.
- Gain a Basic Understanding of How to Interpret Benchmarking Results: Learn about benchmarks and how to use them, as well as further training opportunities to dive deeper into evaluating performance.
