Speaker - Anne LaForti is a California-based biomimicry consultant at Biomimicry 3.8 with a deep interest in resilient design for urban environments. Anne has a MS in Biomimicry. With a special interest in mycology, soil science, and living systems design, Anne helps teams translate ecosystem insights into practical solutions for healthier communities and organizations. Recent projects include regenerative landscape strategies and community-led soil restoration throughout Los Angeles. An experienced educator and collaborator, she delivers accessible science communication through a lens of environmental regeneration. Fostering connections between ecological research and on-the-ground change, Anne is dedicated to reimagining the built environment by applying nature-inspired approaches for long-term resilience.
